Greetings to our OHB clients!
Thank you for taking the time to peruse our news letter and for sharing it with your family and friends. OHB finished another great year in 2021. Thanks to you our valued clients and the tons of referrals we get from you, we continue to grow at a very nice and “in-control” pace. One of the biggest challenges we face like most companies in this strange business environment, is finding great employees. As I write this letter in early April, we have added four new employees in the last couple of months but are still looking for more. If you or someone you may know would be interested in joining our OHB team, please reach out to us.
We really accomplished some cool things in the last year at OHB. The biggest “long term” accomplishment we have invested in is creating our leadership team and engaging in the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) as defined in the business book Traction by Gino Wickman. We are “all in” on this system! We have defined our short- and long-term goals as well as updated our mission and core values which all center around you our clients and being an incredible company to do business with! With a passion to “Build a Great Company with Great People and Great Results” we continue to focus on our clients and our employees. We have learned early on that in order keep our clients happy we need to continue to keep our employees happy since they in fact are the company! Who would have thought that what Dave Auble and I started dreaming about 18 years ago would grow to what it is today? Oh, and by the way … Dave is doing great … we are still very close friends, and I am keeping up with Dave and his family in their new adventures regularly. He is really enjoying his family time and his ATV time!
We have seen many changes in the industry in the past 18 years. The health insurance environment is extremely competitive, and it seems like new carriers are entering the market each year. One of the things that has not changed in this industry in the last 18 years is the on-going confusion with people as it relates to acquiring health insurance. With the recent surge of national call centers running TV ads year-round and especially during the annual enrollment period it seems there is even more confusion being cast. We do get a dozen or so clients each year that take the bait and call a national call center and get talked into making a plan switch and then realize they were sent down the wrong path. If this happens to you, please call us and we will give you our best efforts to get you back to the correct plan. As the old saying goes …. if it seems too good to be true it probably is.
As I reflect on the many accomplishments and tremendous success of OHB I also couldn’t be more thankful for the health and happiness of our family and friends. Having just been blessed with a second grand-child Cathie and I are really enjoying our new role in the last year as grandparents. It is such a joyful feeling watching our kids and now grandchildren thrive! God has been very generous to us, and we don’t want to ever take that for granted.
As one of our many valued clients if you have any suggestions on how we can make OHB an even better and stronger company I want to hear it. We get many cards, letters, and calls of thanks from our clients and prospects, but we also want to hear any opportunity we have for improvement! We know we aren’t 100% perfect, but we strive to be! Please feel free to call or email me with any suggestion or concern you may have big or small.
I wish you continued health and happiness!
