LEADERSHIP TEAM
Prior to opening Ohio Health Benefits in 2004, Steve was employed as a captive agent for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and has over 18 years of experience in sales and customer service. Steve became licensed for health insurance in 2003. He is a 1986 graduate of Kent State University with a degree in technology and business management. He and his wife, Cathie, live in Tallmadge with their four children Melissa, Amanda, Stephanie, and Steven.
Sarah joined the OHB team in April of 2018 and currently serves as Vice President & Operations Manager. With over 20 years of experience in cost accounting and risk management, she brings a strong operational mindset and a deep commitment to exceptional customer service. Sarah plays an integral role in leadership, team development, and operational strategy, while continuing to support the group benefits division through account management, program implementation, and carrier relations. She completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at Kent State University. Sarah and her husband, Matt, live in Tallmadge and have three sons: Ethan, Caleb, and Liam.
Deanna joined OHB in April 2019, bringing a combined 20 years of experience in Revenue Cycle, Healthcare Management, and EMS. As a Licensed Benefits Consultant, she loves OHB’s focus on education and making health insurance easier to understand. She is in our Tallmadge office and lives in Stow with her husband Shaun and their two children, Michael and Julianne. When she’s not at work, you can usually find her on the sidelines cheering on her kids at their many sporting events.
LICENSED BENEFIT CONSULTANTS
Adam joined the OHB team in the spring of 2024. He received his Health Insurance license from the State of Ohio in 2024. Before joining OHB, Adam worked in the hospitality industry for several years. With his free time, he enjoys rock climbing and skiing out west with his family. Adam lives in Northfield with his wife Anna and their two children, Beckett and June.
Alex joined the OHB team in June 2025. Prior to that, he spent five years as a carpenter, specializing in historic home restoration. Outside of work, Alex enjoys golf, poker, board games, and spending time with his girlfriend, Cassie. They live in Stow with their cats.
Blake joined the Tallmadge team in February of 2019. He received his Accident & Health, and Life Insurance from the State of Ohio in 2019. Blake brings over 12 years of experience in sales and customer service with him from the Industrial and Logistics industries. He lives in Tallmadge with his wife, Samantha, and three daughters.
Brian came onboard the OHB team in the spring of 2022, from the hospitality management industry where he spent several years. Brian studied at Kent State University and served in the Ohio Army National Guard. He enjoys building dynamic relationship through serving others and having a blast doing it. Brian resides in Ellet with his wonderful wife Suzie and three amazing children. Soli Deo gloria!
Chris has been a member of the OHB team since 2024. Prior to joining OHB, he spent more than a decade working as a chiropractor, where he gained extensive experience in healthcare and health insurance. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bethany College. Outside the office, Chris can often be found on the football field serving as an official. Originally from Pittsburgh, he now lives in Green with his wife, Jamie, and their daughter, Emilia.
Damon joined the Ohio Health Benefits team in August of 2024. He received his Health and Accident Insurance license in 2024. He studied education at the University of Akron after he attended and played football at Capital University. Before joining OHB, Damon worked in a variety of work fields and has years of experience in customer service and sales. In his free time, Damon enjoys kayaking and hiking with his wife Maddy and his dog Rosie. He and Maddy reside in Cuyahoga Falls.
Dave joined the OHB team in 2019. Prior to coming on-board, he spent over 14 years in the Franchising Industry as a Field Consultant and Small Business Owner. Dave is a Licensed Benefit Consultant and a lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio. He resides in Green with his wife Andrea and their two sons, Dominic and Anthony.
Ed joined forces with OHB in May of 2024. He has been involved in the insurance industry since 1999 as the owner of his own agency, Insurance Advisors, also in Tallmadge, Ohio. Ed maintains insurance licenses in several states. Prior to entering the insurance industry, Ed served as a building contractor for 20 years. Ed enjoys traveling with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Erik joined the OHB team in the spring of 2022. He received his Health Insurance license from the State of Ohio in 2022. Prior to joining OHB Erik worked in sales and the customer service industry for 10 years. Erik resides in Cuyahoga Falls with his wife Maryssa and their two sons, Owen and Ezra.
Jan, a retired Lieutenant, Firefighter, Paramedic for the Cuyahoga Falls Fire Department and former Tallmadge volunteer firefighter, joined our Tallmadge office in the fall of 2011. He has over 25 years of health and benefits administration experience from his work with the Cuyahoga Falls Firefighters Association. Jan received his Benefits Consultant License from the State of Ohio in 2008. He resides in Tallmadge with his wife, Christine, and is the father of three adult children: Daniel, Michael, and Kimberly.
Jim teamed up with OHB in 2021 after owning his own health insurance agency for 15 years. He previously was in the banking and accounting industries, most recently as a VP for National City Bank. Jim resides in North Ridgeville with his spouse Diane. He enjoys traveling and resides a portion of the year in Hilton Head, SC.
Joe joined the OHB team in the spring of 2022. He has over 15 years of sales and customer service experience. Most recently, spending the past several years as a licensed financial advisor, working with clients to develop their financial plans. He resides in Ravenna with his two young daughters, Lucy and Laura.
Lisa joined the OHB team in 2019 as a licensed health insurance agent. She is also a Licensed Social Worker with 35 years’ experience working in health care who utilizes her knowledge with Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security to assist clients in navigating the complexities of dual coverage and eligibility issues. She has a master’s degree in Public Administration and bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Akron. Lisa lives in Wadsworth with her husband, Randy Kugler and dog, Indy. They enjoy spending time with their 4 grown children/spouses and 7 grandchildren.
Rick joined the OHB team in early 2025. Prior to obtaining his Health Insurance license from the State of Ohio, Rick spent nearly two decades in operational roles, including law office and sheet metal operations. He resides in Tallmadge with his wife, Kayla, and their two children, Braxton and Carson. When he’s not at work, you can find Coach Jones on the first base line at a local ball field.
Vince obtained his Health & Life Insurance licenses in 2014 and joined the OHB team in 2015. Prior to transitioning into the health insurance industry, he built a successful 20-year career in banking, where he earned a strong reputation for exceptional customer service. Vince is an honors graduate of Walsh University, where he earned his degree in Business. He now lives in Tallmadge with his wife, Marcie, and her son, Nate. Vince is proud to work alongside his son, Alex, who has joined him in the business. His daughter, Marissa, is currently a student at Kent State University. Outside of work, Vince enjoys playing golf, a good poker night, and cheering on his favorite teams, the Boston Celtics and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE TEAM
Sara joined OHB in June of 2020. She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Nutritional Sciences. Sara obtained her Health Insurance License from the state of Ohio 2021. Prior to joining OHB Sara worked with children and families at a local preschool. In her free time Sara enjoys photography and watching her children discover their own passions. She and her husband, Curt reside in Tallmadge with their two children Ali and Sawyer and their dog Mayhem.
Tom earned a Bachelor of Arts from Cleveland State University and a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Ohio University. Prior to joining OHB, he brought 15 years of experience in revenue cycle management, healthcare leadership, and contracting.
He lives in Cuyahoga Falls with his wife, Heather, and their three children, Charlie, Bella, and Paige. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching his children’s sports teams, attending sporting events, and spending time with family.
Sarah joined the OHB team in September of 2022. She graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and Walsh University with an MBA in Healthcare Management. Prior to joining OHB, Sarah worked 8 years in the customer service industry. In her free time, she enjoys camping with her family and going to baseball games with her significant other, Corey. She resides in Cuyahoga Falls.
Andy joined the OHB team in June 2026 after earning his bachelor’s degree in History from Kent State University in December 2024. During his time at Kent State, he competed as an NCAA Division I heavyweight wrestler from 2020 to 2022. While completing his final year of college, he worked in memory care and assisted living, providing compassionate support to residents. Following graduation, Andy began training for the U.S. Army in January 2025 and currently serves in the U.S. Army Reserve. Outside of work, Andy enjoys training in Brazilian jiu jitsu and Muay Thai, distance running, hiking, spending time with his two Labradors, and exploring local restaurants and small businesses with his girlfriend, Mackenzie.
Brad joined OHB in June 2026, bringing a strong commitment to client satisfaction. Originally from Colorado, he previously worked as a lighting designer specializing in luxury residential projects. Outside of work, Brad enjoys spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their three children exploring Hudson and the parks of Northeast Ohio.
Chelsea joined the OHB team in September of 2022. She graduated from the University of Akron in 2007 with a Bachelor of Natural Sciences and from the University of Akron School of Law with her Juris Doctorate and a Masters in Intellectual Property in 2018. She recently obtained her Health Insurance License from the State of Ohio in 2023. Prior to joining OHB, Chelsea spent nearly 15 years working in various aspects of the medical field. She resides in Cuyahoga Falls with her husband Jimmy and their son Anthony.
Emma joined the OHB team in September 2024. While attending Coventry High School, from which she recently graduated, she earned her life, health, and accident license. With four years of customer service experience, Emma is passionate about helping others. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and attending concerts with friends. Emma lives in Portage Lakes with her beloved cats, Max and Sassy.
Haley joined the OHB team in July 2025. She graduated from Ball State University in 2019, with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Prior to joining OHB, Haley worked as a 4th grade teacher in Indiana. In her free time she enjoys reading, yoga, and hanging out with family and friends. Haley resides in Hartville with her two cats, Flame and Fiona.
Jason joined the OHB team in June 2025 and soon thereafter, secured his State of Ohio Accident & Health and Life Insurance license. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Malone University. Prior to becoming part of the OHB team, Jason worked in the mortgage lending industry for over 20 years.
A lifelong Northeast Ohio resident, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and their two sons, reading, and watching sports, especially football. His favorite team is The Ohio State Buckeyes. Jason is committed to delivering exceptional service and support to every client he serves.
Kayla joined the OHB team in May 2025 and hit the ground running! With a strong background in administration and a natural talent for organization, she brings energy, efficiency, and a great sense of humor to the office. Her positive energy and willingness to jump in wherever needed make her an essential part of the team’s day-to-day success. Kayla lives in Tallmadge with her husband and their two kids, Braxton and Carson, and when she’s not at the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, going on adventures with her dog Winnie, and staying one step ahead of her busy kids.
Kiersten has spent the past four years working with children in early childhood and their families, building strong relationships and supporting children through some of their earliest learning experiences. She is passionate about helping others and creating positive connections wherever she goes. She lives in Portage Lakes with her seven year old son, Lincoln. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring local parks, hiking, and spending time outdoors with him. She also enjoys playing pickleball, staying active, and making the most of time with family and friends. Kiersten is currently finishing her degree in Human Health and Family Studies and is always looking for opportunities to continue learning and growing.
Kim joined OHB in February of 2022. Kim brings with her 30 years of customer service experience and a passion for helping others. Kim resides in Akron with her husband Matt. When she is not at work, Kim can be found cooking which is her other passion.
Lauren joined the OHB team in July 2023 and obtained her State of Ohio Health and Accident Insurance License shortly thereafter. She brings with her over 15 years of customer service experience, which she most recently utilized in the medical field. Lauren resides in Stow with her husband and their daughter Addelyn. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking with her dogs, and baking.
Melissa Clark brings more than 15 years of customer service and management experience from working at a golf course, where she developed a strong reputation for building relationships and delivering exceptional client experiences. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time on the golf course, family trips to Hilton Head, making memories with her nieces and nephews, and cheering on her beloved Cleveland Browns. She currently lives in Suffield with her partner Nicole.
Quincy joined the OHB team in June 2026 after graduating from Miami University in May with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health and Italian Studies. She recently obtained her Accident and Health Insurance license from the State of Ohio and brings several years of customer service experience to her role. Quincy enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients and helping others find the support they need. Outside of the office, she enjoys competitive figure skating, spending time with family and friends, and traveling whenever she has the opportunity.
Savanna McCord joined the OHB team in 2026, bringing several years of hospitality experience from Gervasi Vineyard Resort & Spa. During her time there, she developed a passion for delivering exceptional service with professionalism, integrity, and a genuine commitment to exceeding client expectations. Outside of work, Savanna enjoys snowboarding, crafting, spending time outdoors, and making memories with her husband, Jason. They reside in Alliance with their two cats and Bernese Mountain Dog.
Tammy joined the OHB team and earned her Ohio Health Insurance license in 2025. Prior to that, she spent over 20 years as a preschool teacher, where she developed her strong customer service skills. She lives in Akron with her significant other, Sam. In their free time, they enjoy camping and attending concerts with her two adult children, Spencer and Vincent.
Tyler joined the OHB team in August of 2023. He graduated from Hiram College with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. Prior to joining OHB, Tyler worked as a 3rd grade teacher in Canton. In his free time, Tyler enjoys watching Cleveland sports, coaching baseball, spending time with his friends and family, and taking his dog on walks. Tyler currently resides in Tallmadge with his girlfriend Rochelle and their dog, Remi.
ENROLLMENT TEAM
Suzanne joined the OHB Team in October 2019. She recently obtained her Health Insurance License from the State of Ohio in 2022. Prior to coming to OHB, she spent 12 years in Education as an elementary teacher in California, followed by 15 years as a Medical Transcription Supervisor. She resides in Tallmadge with her husband, Orlando, and her kids, Alexa, Kaiah and Niko. In her free time, she loves relaxing with her family and spending as much time as she can with her two, sweet granddaughters, Lana and Mila.
Kiri joined the Ohio Health Benefits team in September 2024. She graduated from Ohio University in 2014 with a degree in Exercise Physiology. Prior to joining the OHB team, she worked part time in the AI industry and had the wonderful opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Kiri resides in Silver Lake with her husband, Eric, and their two children, Nora and Rowan.
EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
Valerie joined the OHB team in December of 2018. She obtained her Life and Health Insurance License from the State of Ohio in 2006. Prior to starting with OHB Valerie worked in the Insurance Industry and has over 15 years of experience in sales and customer service. Valerie is an administrator in our Group Benefits division helps with enrollments, terminations, claim issues as well as HRA Administration. Valerie and her husband, Rob, live in Tallmadge and they have 2 sons.
Perry has been an Employee Benefit Advisor since 1996. He joined the OHB team in July of 2022 as the Lead Advisor for Key Accounts. Perry has a Finance degree from Kent State University and also holds a Registered Health Underwriter designation. Perry is a lifelong resident of Lake Township and enjoys spending time with his family and giving back to his community.
Alex joined the OHB team in August 2022. He works in the group benefits division assisting with customer service and account management. Alex obtained his Life and Health insurance license from the State of Ohio in 2023. He graduated from Kent State in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in business management. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing basketball, and fishing.
Ann became licensed in Health and Life Insurance in 2004 where she was the first employee at OHB when the doors opened, assisting with customer service and sales. Ann rejoined the OHB team in September of 2021 bringing 15 additional years of experience with a focus on building client relationship and managing commercial accounts working for a local carrier. Ann graduated from Kent State University in 1987 with her Bachelor’s in Gerontology and soon after became licensed in Social Work. Ann was born and raised in Tallmadge and enjoyed raising her family (Taylor and Madeline) in Tallmadge with her husband Doug.
Christine joined the OHB team in September of 2014. She graduated from The University of Akron in 1996 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Prior to joining OHB, Christine worked for 10 years as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician for The Cleveland Clinic and then was blessed with the opportunity of being a stay-at-home mom. Christine is the HRA administrator in our Group Benefits division. She resides in Tallmadge with her husband, Tony, and their daughter, Abby.
Suzie joined the OHB team in June 2021. She graduated from The University of Akron in 2012, with A Bachelor of Fine Arts. She recently obtained her Health Insurance License from the State of Ohio in 2021. Prior to joining OHB, Suzie worked in the customer service industry for 14 years. She resides in Tallmadge with her husband Brian and their two children Lucas and Isabel.
Taylor joined the OHB team in August 2024. She graduated from Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She recently received her Health Insurance License from the State of Ohio in 2024. Prior to joining OHB, she worked in the customer service industry for 8 years. Taylor lives in North Canton with her husband Kevin and their dog Luther.
ACCOUNTING
Jordan joined the OHB team in February 2021. He is a graduate of the University of Akron with a major in Accounting. Prior to joining OHB, Jordan worked as an accountant in the healthcare industry for over a year. Jordan currently resides in Tallmadge. In his free time, he coaches Youth and High School Basketball.
